A third-generation real estate broker with 20 years in the business, advising buyers, sellers, investors, and landlords across San Francisco.
Alex Kaufman is a third-generation real estate broker with 20 years of experience in the industry. He was born in the Bernal Heights neighborhood of San Francisco, in the home his father built, and raised in the North Bay. He has great adoration for the country and city lifestyles of the Bay Area.
In addition to his work with buyers and sellers in the city, Alex has also leased over 1,000 properties. That extensive experience in rental investments gives him a perspective that is invaluable to clients seeking forecasting for investments.
This breadth of experience, combined with dedication and tenacity, gives his clients an advantage when buying or selling real estate.
I approach each engagement with intention: defining the objective, evaluating the data, assessing risk, and executing deliberately. The constant is disciplined analysis. Every recommendation is anchored in data. Risk evaluation and strategy are designed to protect and advance my client’s position.
When not working, Alex enjoys dining at one of the many world-class restaurants here in San Francisco and rooting for his beloved 49ers, Giants, and Warriors. Trail running through Golden Gate Park is his favorite way to stay fit.
You might bump into him taking a lap around Oracle Park during a Giants game, attending a sports car race at Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, or spot him up in the clouds, living his dream of using his private pilot’s license as he trains for his commercial rating.
Alex did a remarkable job selling my co-op. This type of transaction had many nuances and required working with building management. Alex navigated this effectively and diplomatically. He had a strong pricing and marketing strategy that played out well, and kept me well informed during the showings and the sales process.
Alex is a hardworking, trustworthy and effective agent, and has a great sense of humor, which is essential in this crazy market. After identifying the right property, he helped me move quickly and decisively. His keen sense of the market clearing price helped position our offer to carry the day. A stand up guy and a true mensch.
I was apprehensive about renting out our home. He advised us about cost-effective improvements we could make and even offered contractors to implement them. Within a few days of listing, we had two offers. We are currently satisfied landlords, with a happy tenant.
We worked with Alex for 2 years. We’re super picky and sought out a very specific checklist within a very small list of zip codes across the Bay Area. Alex was patient, informative and beyond attentive. I can’t say how many times I texted him after 9pm and received an immediate reply.
Alex helped us rent out our condo in South Beach. He was totally professional and took care of every detail from start to finish. He found us two great tenants to choose from, at a fair market price, in less than a week, right before the holidays.
Alex was outstanding from start to finish. Buying a home can be very overwhelming, but I felt like I had a solid, reliable consultant at every step. He was vital in translating all the unfamiliar language and pointing out what to focus on.
Alex rented out my loft for me this spring. In a terrible rental market for landlords, he guided me through staging, pricing and lease negotiations. He found a great tenant in a few weeks, ran the background and credit checks, and got the lease signed in a matter of hours.
Alex was fantastic to work with and helped me sell my loft for an excellent price. He created great marketing materials and was essential in getting the place ready for sale, even managing the repairs when I was out of town.
He simply went above and beyond to help us find a house that we now call home. He patiently listened and understood exactly what we were looking for. Professional, prompt, friendly and very knowledgeable, and his follow up was second to none. He was our advocate throughout the process.
